Undergraduate Programme Advising. This CPE Certificate in Creative Writing is a 60 contact hour programme designed to introduce participants to the formal study of creative writing. It aims to familiarize students with the formal characteristics of the three literary genres: prose, poetry, and drama and to introduce them to a range of creative non-fiction genres. The programme is designed to encourage participants to self-reflexively assess their own writing by providing them with additional perspectives from which to view their writing. Participants will be exposed to the society of other writers through workshop sessions where they will share their work with their peers and give and receive constructive criticism designed to aid their development as writers.
