That was the first time I read about First Principles and it made me cry: cry at my incompetence. That was over a year ago. It just happened. Most of the time, it still just happens. However, things had moved from the unknown unknown to the known unknown.
Critical thinking is the process of independently analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information as a guide to behavior and beliefs. The American Philosophical Association has defined critical thinking as "the process of purposeful, self-regulatory judgment. The process gives reasoned consideration to evidence , contexts , conceptualizations, methods, and criteria" Critical thinking is sometimes broadly defined as "thinking about thinking.
