Scope of Medical Tourism in India
Understanding of word medical and tourism individually is not sufficient to define Medical Tourism. Medical Tourism is combination of various and definite activities and clear understanding of such activities is essential. Medical travel refers to the international phenomenon of individuals traveling, often great distances, to access health care services that are otherwise not available due to high costs, long waiting lists or limited health care capacity in the country of origin. Medical tourism- the idea of traveling all over for better treatment is not really a novel idea, only the term. The profitability and the lucrative mother nature of the medical tourism business has put this trade, on top of the plan of both Indian federal and the private healthcare providers. Today, medical tourism has become a commonplace practice with a sizable number of individuals around the world since standard constraints like language, finance, difficulties in global travel and fear of the unknown are no more acting as obstacles to the travellers who seek treatment in international countries.
