Background: The Swedish healthcare system employs information and communication technologies ICT in nursing practice to meet quality-, security- and efficiency-related demands. Although ICT is integrated with nursing practices, nurses do not always feel that they are convenient to use it. We need to improve our knowledge of the role of ICT in healthcare environments and so we decided to complement existing experience of how ICT influences nursing practice. Aim: This study aimed to review and synthesise the available literature on the role of ICT in nursing practice in Swedish healthcare settings. Method: To consolidate previous studies based on diverse methodologies, an integrative literature review was carried out.

Background: Information and communication technology ICT systems are being developed for electronic symptom reporting across different stages of the cancer trajectory with research in palliative care at an early stage. Results: 24 articles met the inclusion criteria, many of which reported the use of non-experimental research designs. Studies were identified at different stages of development with no systems having reached implementation. Most systems captured pain as part of quality-of-life measurement with wide variation in approaches to pain assessment. Conclusions: ICT systems for symptom reporting are emerging in the palliative care context. Future development of ICT systems need to increase the quality and scale of development work, consider how recommendations for pain measurement can be integrated and explore how to effectively use system feedback with patients. The purpose of this study is to investigate the current literature that has explored project success in the information and communication technology ICT sector. The literature search was carried out for related articles in three databases: the Web of Science, Scopus and Ebscohost. Using a systematic literature review SLR methodology, 75 related articles were sorted out. Furthermore, the methods of frequency and content analysis were used to identify, categorize and arrange critical success factors CSF of ICT projects based on their importance, interrelation and cultural regions. The findings in this study revealed that interest in researching success in ICT projects has increased significantly during the last five years.
