Thursday, June 26, Childhood Revisited. I had never really thought about it before, but he was right. We went to the beach a couple of times, but never anything beyond that. There were no trips to Disney or educational forays to Williamsburg or long treks across state parks.
It is hard to fathom that I have finished my first year as a high school teacher. I spent 17 years in the elementary school classroom and never once felt like there were greener pastures. Until I did. Then I knew, change might just be a good thing. I have taught students from kindergarten to 5th grade.
Acronyms are words that are formed from the initial letters of a word. I always have students working simultaneously with a strategy while reading. I encourage students to think of literary elements or something in a piece of literature that each letter could represent.
