Deadlines- March 25th. Here you will have to write two essays, usually about your career goals, and an aspect of leadership that ISB looks for. The topics may vary each year. Deadline- August 31st. If selected, you will be called to ISB campus at Hyderabad for an interview round.
ISB YLP Stage 1 Essay Analysis : ISB
It's a deferred admit program where one can get an admit now and join once they have over 20 months of full-time experience. Students with an outstanding academic and extra-curricular record can apply through the 3-stage admissions process. If successful, they can take up a full-time job at an organization of their choice and on completion of 20 months of work experience, can join the ISB PGP. Candidates selected through the YLP are also mentored by ISB during this period and are given weekend contact programs every six months, even before they start with their classes at ISB. Essay 1: Describe with examples the most important personal quality that you possess, which significantly enhances your prospects of being successful as a leader? Pick one quality and provide more than one example to support the quality. Let the quality you choose be one that has helped you make a mark in past leadership roles.
While stage 1 of the YLP admissions process is selective, it is less comprehensive as compared to stage 2. In stage 1, candidates needed to submit basic details of their profile, and answer one essay question. This acted as an initial screening phase, where ISB was able to judge candidates on the basic parameters of their profile. In the second stage of YLP admissions, this focus becomes sharper. Candidates also need to submit GMAT scores and answer one more essay question.
